What exactly is Dalvox Capital, and what are you selling?

Dalvox Capital is a quantitative technology firm. We develop, test, and license Expert Advisors (EAs) — automated trading programs that run directly inside MetaTrader 5. You install a compiled .ex5 file on your own MT5 terminal and unlock it with your license key; from then on, the algorithm trades automatically in your own account, under your control. We do not manage your funds, we have no access to your account, and we take no share of your profits. Access is a simple monthly subscription — no setup fee and no profit-sharing.

Question 2

Is the system automated, or does it require manual input?

Accepted Answer

The EA automates trade execution. Once installed on your MT5 terminal, it scans the market, places trades, manages stop losses and take profits, and closes all positions intraday. It still needs your supervision: it is not set-and-forget, and you should check your account, your terminal and your VPS regularly. You can monitor activity in real-time via MetaTrader's Journal and Experts tabs.

What instruments and sessions does the algorithm trade?

The core engine is built and validated on the S&P 500 (US500 / SP500 / SPX CFD, depending on your broker's symbol naming). Higher tiers add additional, structurally uncorrelated systems on the same index. All systems are intraday — every position is closed before the end of the trading session, so you never pay overnight swap fees or carry rollover risk.

How many trades does it open per month, and does it trade every day?

Trade frequency varies by tier and market conditions. In the backtest, Starter (a single system) averages about 11 trades per month on the S&P 500, rising to about 33 for Institutional, which runs five systems in parallel. The algorithm is selective — it only enters when its conditions are met and never forces trades during low-volatility, structurally ambiguous periods. Each tier's Full Report includes the complete dated trade list.

Which MetaTrader version is supported?

Accepted Answer

MT5 only. Our Expert Advisors are compiled as .ex5 files and use capabilities exclusive to MetaTrader 5 — native tick-by-tick data, hedging accounts and MT5's native order execution layer. No other platform version is supported. The account must be a hedging account without FIFO rules: netting accounts, usual in the US, are not supported.

What broker and account type do I need?

An MT5 account with any broker that meets the requirements in Section 6 of our Terms: a hedging account without FIFO rules, that allows Expert Advisors, logged in with the main password (the one that allows trading, not the read-only one called the "investor" password) and with leverage of at least 1:10 for Starter and Advanced or 1:20 for Pro, Elite and Institutional; the H1 chart of a CFD on the cash S&P 500 index —not on a futures month— that accepts stop orders with a stop loss and trades almost 24 hours a day with a short daily break; and https://dalvoxcapital.com allowed for WebRequest in the MetaTrader options (the guide shows how). The EA risks 1% of the balance per trade, in multiples of 0.1 lots and not counting commission: if even the smallest trade (0.1 lots, or your broker's minimum lot if larger) risks more, it does not open it and tells you the balance needed. Check all of this in the symbol specification and test the EA on a demo account with the same broker before trading with real money: each broker's minimum stop distance, commission and spread change your results.

Do I need a VPS, and what specifications are recommended?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a VPS is required for reliable 24/5 operation. The server should be co-located with your broker's primary execution hub (typically London, New York, or Amsterdam) to minimise latency. A standard Forex VPS in the $10–20/month range is sufficient: 1–2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM, Windows Server. Any reputable VPS provider with servers close to your broker will do, and MetaTrader 5 also includes a built-in virtual hosting option that can be activated in one click from inside the platform.

What happens during high-impact news events (FOMC, NFP, CPI)?

The EA has no news filter: it trades news days exactly as in the simulation, which covers every release since January 2012. Its entries are pending stop orders with a stop loss placed at the broker, and around a release they can fill with slippage, like any stop order.

Can I run the EA alongside my own manual trades on the same account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with one important consideration: the EA sizes each trade on the account balance, without counting the profit or loss of open positions. Your manual trades change that balance when they close and share the account's margin with the EA, so they change the size of its trades and may leave it without margin for some of them. We recommend a dedicated account for the EA or, at minimum, ensuring your manual positions don't significantly shift your overall risk profile while the EA is active.

What is the minimum recommended account size?

Starter is designed for accounts from $5,000 upward. Advanced, Pro and Elite target the $10,000–$100,000 range. Institutional is built for capital above $100,000. The EA scales position sizes proportionally to balance, so smaller accounts work with proportionally smaller positions.

What leverage is required?

Accepted Answer

Each trade risks 1% of the account, but the position itself is worth more than the balance. In the simulation, a typical trade is worth 1.3 to 2 times the balance. With several positions open at once, the total peaked at about 5.5 times the balance for Starter and Advanced, about 10 times for Pro, 11 for Elite and 12 for Institutional. Starter and Advanced therefore need at least 1:10; Pro, Elite and Institutional need at least 1:20, the maximum an EU retail client can get on the S&P 500. If free margin runs short, the EA skips that trade, so results will differ from the simulation. The full report of each pack shows its exact figures.

Can I use it on a prop firm account?

Accepted Answer

It is not designed for their rules. Each trade risks 1%, several can be open at once and there is no daily loss limit. In the simulation, Pro, Elite and Institutional had days that lost more than 3% of the balance, and Elite and Institutional more than 5%, which would break the daily loss limit of many prop firm challenges. Some firms also forbid trading around news releases or several traders using the same EA. Check your firm's rules before using it there.

How is risk managed? Is there any Martingale, Grid, or averaging-down logic?

Accepted Answer

Each trade risks 1% of the account balance, not counting the commission your broker may charge separately, so the real risk is slightly higher. Every position carries a dynamic ATR-based stop loss and an independent take-profit. There is no Martingale, no Grid, no averaging down, and no recovery logic of any kind. Each trade is fully independent — a losing trade has zero influence on the sizing of the next one. At the portfolio level, directional and breakout engines run asynchronously, which is designed to keep the aggregate equity curve controlled through regime shifts.

Does Dalvox have any access to my trading account or capital?

Accepted Answer

None whatsoever. You install the .ex5 on your own MetaTrader 5 terminal, connected to your own broker account. We never receive your login credentials, we have no API or read access to your account, and we cannot place, modify or close trades on it. The only thing our servers can do is tell the robot to stop, in the cases explained in our Terms (Sections 4 and 7): it then stops opening trades and may cancel the pending orders it placed itself, but it never closes your positions. You can pause, delete, or modify the EA at any moment without notifying us. Your funds remain 100% under your control at all times.

What is the worst-case drawdown I should realistically expect?

Maximum drawdown across all five published tiers ranges from 16.4% to 19.3% in the backtest, measured on tick data from Sept 2011 to May 2026 (2026 is a partial year) that includes the March 2020 COVID collapse, the 2022 Fed rate-hike bear market, and every major regime between 2011 and 2026. These figures already include a ×1.5 spread mark-up and added slippage model. The equity curve, monthly P&L breakdown and complete trade list are available in each tier's Full Report.

Are the backtest results realistic? What costs are factored in?

Every figure we publish is net of a ×1.5 spread mark-up on every fill, an artificially added slippage model, and standard ECN commissions — backtested on continuous tick-by-tick data from Sept 2011 to May 2026 (2026 is a partial year). These are simulated results; past or simulated performance does not guarantee future results. The definitive performance run executes at tick precision: every entry and exit is reconstructed from raw tick data, not OHLC candle approximations. We do not show idealised backtests. The full data — including the worst month and worst trade — is available in each tier's Full Report.

Does the historical data include COVID, the 2022 rate-hike cycle, and other major crises?

Yes. The Sept 2011 – May 2026 dataset includes: the 2015 China flash crash, Brexit and the 2016 US election, the March 2020 COVID collapse (the fastest 30% drawdown in S&P history), the 2022 Fed rate-hike bear market, the 2023–2024 AI-driven bull run, and every macro event between 2011 and 2026. Any strategy that only performs in trending conditions would have failed visibly during these periods — and we wouldn't publish it.

Why are your backtest figures more trustworthy than the typical EA backtest?

Most EAs on the market show backtests run only on training data, using ideal fill assumptions, on a single timeframe, over a short period. Our process is the opposite: 11 independent robustness tests including out-of-sample validation on data the optimizer never touched, four types of Monte Carlo analysis (1,000+ simulations each), multi-timeframe checks, multi-market validation, and a final tick-precision run across the full Sept 2011 – May 2026 dataset. What do I receive when I subscribe?

The compiled .ex5 file for your tier and your license key, a PDF installation guide, plus updates and email support for as long as your subscription is active. The Full Report for your tier (backtest equity curve, monthly P&L, full trade list) is available on the Results page. Source code is not delivered — the .ex5 is the compiled, obfuscated delivery format and the only form in which the product is available.

How many accounts can I run one license on?

Accepted Answer

One license may be used on one (1) trading account at a time. You can move it between your own accounts yourself, as often as you like. To run the EA on two accounts at the same time you need two subscriptions.

Question 21

Can I move the license to a different broker or account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you do it yourself — there is no need to contact support. Activate the EA on the new trading account using the same license key: the license transfers to that account and automatically stops working on the previous one. Only one account can use the license at a time, but there is no limit on how many times you can move it, and no fee.

Can I test the EA before committing to a purchase?

We do not offer trial builds. The EA contains proprietary compiled logic that cannot be distributed at scale. What we offer in its place is complete pre-purchase transparency: every tier's Full Report — including the full equity curve, monthly P&L breakdown and complete backtest trade list — is available on the Results page. We encourage you to review these in full before subscribing.

How does the monthly subscription work?

One flat monthly fee — no setup cost and no profit-sharing. It renews automatically each month and includes updates and email support. You can cancel any time from your dashboard, and we always email you before a renewal is charged.

Which countries do you sell to?

Accepted Answer

For now, we sell only to buyers with a billing address in mainland Spain or the Balearic Islands (not the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla). Payment is enabled only from a connection in the European Union, and a purchase completed with a billing address outside that scope, or without one, is voided and refunded in full. Section 3 of the Terms of Use sets out the details.

Are there places in the European Union where you don't sell yet?

For now we only sell to billing addresses in mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands (not the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla).

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops all future charges and you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that, the licence stops validating. You can re-subscribe again later whenever you like.

You can cancel any time from your dashboard: cancelling stops all future charges and you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. Because the software is delivered immediately, at checkout you expressly ask us to begin delivery and waive the 14-day right of withdrawal, so the current month is non-refundable once the EA has been delivered. The limited cases in which we refund or replace the product (for example, if it is never delivered, or it is defective and we cannot fix it) are set out in Section 5 of the Terms of Use. Live performance that differs from the published backtest is not grounds for a refund — backtested results are simulated and not guaranteed to replicate live.

Do I need prior trading experience to use this?

Accepted Answer

The EA automates trade execution, but it is not a set-and-forget product. We expect constant supervision — checking your MT5 terminal, VPS connectivity, and account status regularly — and a working understanding of risk management (position sizing, drawdown tolerance, knowing when to pause the EA). Basic familiarity with MetaTrader 5 (opening a chart, attaching an EA, reading the Journal tab) is required and is covered step by step in the PDF installation guide you download from your dashboard after purchase. How long until I can expect to see meaningful results?

The algorithm is selective and does not force trades — tiers average about 11 (Starter) to 33 (Institutional) trades per month in the backtest. Live results may differ from the backtest and are not guaranteed. Short windows of days or weeks can look very different from the long-run mean: this is true of any systematic strategy with a finite trade sample. We strongly recommend running the EA for a minimum of 90 trading days before drawing conclusions from live performance.
